English language challendges

  Hello, today I am going to tell you about my experience learning English at university. I remember that in school I never did very well in English, it was always the most difficult subject for me, however, when I entered the university I was forced to try much more, it has been a long and complex road for me, but 'I think I can do it.

I like the methodology used in the university, I think it focuses a lot on practice, which has been very good for me, writing and reading over and over again, it has been very useful for me to learn more and more. I think that blogs are a very useful tool to learn and practice.

What is most difficult for me is always being able to speak English, but in order to improve, I try to watch series and movies in English, I think that every time I understand a little more, I also like to use a platform called “Duo-Lingo”, it helps me a lot to practice and learn. In my daily life I try to think about how I could express some of my thoughts in English and thus I constantly practice in order to improve, although it is still complex for me, I know that if I
persevere, one day I will be able to speak the language fluently

Changes to my study programme

 Hello, today I am here to talk about my career and some changes that could be made in the program. I am a student of Social Work, I am in the last year of my career and I think there are many things that could be improved.

Faculty of social sciences

First of all, I think that the subjects we study are a great preparation in the profession, however I think that you lack subjects about the work we do after leaving university. In the career there is no "practice", so I am in the last year of my career but I do not have experience to go out into the world to work and deal with people from a professional role. That is why I think it would be good to add more subjects related to the role that we have once we leave university.

I think that the duration of the studies is correct and also the requirement that they do not ask, during the five years that it lasts, I had different teachers with different teaching methods, some I liked more than others, I think that in general I would not change any of that However, I believe that the faculty is not prepared for the number of people who were entering in recent years, since the facilities are very small and not so many people can fit. On the other hand, I like that in the university there are many libraries with computers and printers, that makes university tasks much easier.

Time travel to the future

 Hello, today I am going to talk about a trip to the future. When I was little I always wanted to be able to grow up and travel to the future when I was an adult, live alone and be calm, my parents were always apprehensive with me so I thought that when I grew up, I could be more free.

In the present I managed to fulfill some of my childhood dreams even though I am still very young, however I would still like to travel to the future to know what my life will be like, I think I would like to know what my little nephew will be like and if I can live In the south as I have wanted so much, I would like to know if I will be good in my profession, I think I would like to travel to the future to know myself, to listen to the rabbits that my adult self has for me.

I would not like to stay in the future, I want to live my life step by step, make my mistakes and learn from them, but I think it would be interesting to know a little about the life that awaits me and my loved ones. I always say that I don't want to have children but will Valentina from the future think the same?

My future Job

 

My future job is to have a bar, I am a bartender but not by profession, I do not have bartender studies but I worked in 2018 and 2019 in different event producers and I learned the trade. My dream job is designed for a world without covid 19 as in the present

During the past year, with my girlfriend we started a sushi business at home, but in the not too distant future, we want to rent a business and create a sushibar, we would like to have a high quality restaurant chain throughout the country, which they sell craft beer of many types, a variety of prepared drinks and Japanese food. If my dream comes true, I could constantly travel through Chile to the places where our businesses would be.

I think it is a project with a positive impact on society, because it is a recreational space to share with friends. My dream job is not related to my career, but if everything goes well, my salary could be higher, I think that money has never been very important to me, but as a middle-class Chilean, I have the dream of my own home without get into debt for life, so I would like to have a good salary that allows me to live

well.

My vegetarian diet

 Hello, today I am going to talk to you about my vegetarian diet. I have been a vegetarian for 8 years and I do not want to eat meat again in my life, I think that vegetarian and vegan food is very positive for life and the environment. The production of meat is very polluting for the environment and it is also very violent, the animals are in terrible conditions, in little spaces, poorly fed, dirty and they also suffer too much when the time of their murder arrives.

I think that the cruelty-free diet allows us to lead a more conscious life of the rest of the life with which we share the world; it also has health benefits such as better digestion.

I was fourteen years old when I decided to stop eating meat, I did so because I did not like its taste very much and the fat disgusted me, since then I have been striving to create a diet that is in accordance with my beliefs, I think that the lives of all beings are important, I think that a cow or a pig is no different from a cat or a dog, we all deserve a good quality of life and we all have the right to receive love.

At present I am working to be vegan and stop consuming any product that processes animals but it is a long way, I think that with time I will achieve it.

Hello, today I am going to talk about my kittens. Currently I have three cats, two of them live with my girlfriend and one lives with me, their names are Memo, Amaru and Kira, their ages are 6 years, 10 months and 8 months in the same order, Amaru is the one who lives with me and her fur It is very similar to that of memo, Kira the smallest kitten is black with brown stripes, the three are very affectionate and beautiful.

I like to talk about my kittens because even before I met Memo 4 years ago, I never liked cats, I was even very afraid of them, but since I gave him my heart and he gave me his love, my thought about cats is completely different, I think they are very beautiful beings and full of positive energy, they have completely changed my life and I think it will never be the same, there is not a day when I do not think about them or worry about their well-being, I think they are a of the most beautiful things that life has been able to give me, the most sincere love I have received, those who do not expect anything else in return than my love and food obviously, they always want food….

The best Vacations

Hello again!! Today am going to talk about the best vacations of my life, these ocurred in 2019. with five friens from the University, we went to the Island of Chiloé during the summer, I don´t remember exactly how long we were there but it was around two weeks.

It was a wonderful trip, we transported ourselves around the island for free thanks to the goodwill of the locals, we visited many beautiful places, we were camping and luckily it did not rain any day during our stay but it was very cold and there was also a lot of wind .

I think this was the best trip of my life because I was able to meet wonderful women, at the same time we created a very sincere friendship that I would like to last forever, when we started the trip we all got along very well but we were not good friends as we are.

Now, that trip was special for all of us and it united us for a lifetime, I would love to return to the magical island of Chiloé.
